IT Field Technician

I am recruiting urgently for a detailed-oriented IT Field Technician for my client, a leading company located in Nassau County Long Island, NY. This is a permanent Hybrid Field Tech role. 40-50% travel through the metro NY area (Only Nassau, Suffolk and sometimes, NYC). THIS IS NOT a REMOTE role. IT Integrations Support
Summary
The IT Support Technician will answer calls, emails, and level I or Level II troubleshooting support to our growing practice. Must have basic hardware, software, and network troubleshooting skills. Must be able to identify customer needs and provide the step and/or direction necessary to resolve said problems in a changing Information Technology environment. Must follow company and/or customer procedures as needed or were provided and maintain best security or business practice. Applicants must be highly organized and possess the ability to communicate with others effectively and professionally.
Essential Functions
Provide knowledgeable IT Hardware, Software, and Networking Support.
Provide user support for desktop and Lan/Wan- based applications
Active Directory administration
Windows Server 2008/2012/2016
GPO creation and modification
Office 365/ Exchange administration
Software installation/SCCM
Networking Experience (Cisco,Sonicwall preferred)
Proficient with troubleshooting
Follow up on open calls/service tickets daily
Provide excellent customer service
Accurately code and update call information in ticket system(s)
Work with ISP’s to troubleshoot connectivity issues
Printer/ Scanner configuration

Education
Associate degree in related field or two or more years of relevant experience
Certifications
Level Certifications for Level I, A Certification, Network Certification, Security Certification preferred for Level II
Experience
IT Field Technician Desktop and Help desk: minimum 3 years (required)
