What are the responsibilities and job description for the Legal Secretary position at Robert Half?
Our client is confidentially seeking a legal assistant to join the uptown Charlotte office of this national firm. The candidate for this position will be successful if they are able to execute a variety of secretarial duties including working with attorneys, paralegals and other members of the firm with a series of administrative functions. Therefore, the candidate will have to have effective time management and organizational skills coupled with the ability to be detail oriented.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to 6 attorneys in transactional practice group;
- Update and manage attorneys' calendars;
- Track Attorney CLEs;
- Ensure calendars and billing sheets are up to date;
- Anticipate attorney and client needs related to matters under management;
- First point of contact/representative for clients;
- Arrange travel, appointments, conference calls, etc.;
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Requirements:
- 5 years of experience as a corporate legal assistant;
- Detailed, accurate, and an ability to handle confidential information
- Experience working with Microsoft Office resources (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), with PDF software and related scanning and production utilities, and document management software;
- Understanding of and experience with legal correspondence and court filing procedures is a plus
- Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheets highly desired
- Prior experience with AmLaw/large firm, preferred
