What are the responsibilities and job description for the Logistics Coordinator position at Robert Half?
A distribution company headquartered in Carmel has a 2 month project opportunity for a Logistics Coordinator. This role will initially be covering a leave, but could lead to a longer term opportunity based on future business needs. This role will train fully in office then has the potential to allow for a hybrid schedule with up to 2 days remote. Remote work flexibility will be dependent upon performance.
Day to Day Job Duties Include:
- Tracking inventory shipments from external vendors and between internal warehouses
- Working with internal staff to keep accurate inventory records of both quantity and location
- Working with freight companies to ensure timely delivery of product
- Expediting product as necessary
- Providing daily, weekly and monthly inventory and shipping reports
Requirements
- 2 years of logistics and inventory management experience in an office setting
- Experience with accounting softwares such as Great Plains, MAS 90 or similar software preferred
- Highly organized
- Excellent communicator
- Ability to work well with a team while meeting individual goals
- Ability to read and understand shipping documents and logistics websites/portals
- Ability to stay on task regardless of work environment / location
