Your responsibilities
- Responsible for insurance verifications with health insurance organizations
- Be detail-oriented and effective with customer inquiries and when answering phone calls within minimum rings
- Ensuring the waiting and reception areas are kept neat and clean; reporting on any damage
- Supporting patients with client forms
- Acting as a liaison with patients and providers in a compassionate and kind manner
- Admitting patients and visitors, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries
- Providing aid in the management of patient medical records
- Delegating various files and providing general office duties, e.g. data entry, faxing, scanning, etc.
- Making appointments, collecting co-pays, and providing receipt of money in accordance with established procedures
Requirements
- Proficiency with multi-line phone systems required
- Experience with Check Patients
- Proven knowledge of Contacting Patients
- Deep understanding of Patient Scheduling
- Receptionist Duties experience desired
- Patient Scheduling experience
- Confirming Appointments experience
- Well-founded grasp of data entry
- 1 year of experience as a Medical Receptionist
- High School Diploma required, A.S. Degree in healthcare/related field preferred
- Incoming phone call management skills desired
- Ability to multitask and attention to detail are critical
- Knowledgeable of medical terminology and insurance products and plans
- For this position you will need experience with insurance billing and an electronic medical record system, as well as social media platforms
