The primary function of this role is to provide exceptional customer service in a healthcare setting, manage patient information, and facilitate communication between patients and healthcare professionals. As a Medical Receptionist, you will be working in a fast-paced environment where organizational and multitasking skills are essential. Responsibilities:• Greet patients and visitors, providing excellent customer service at all times• Accurately check in patients, capture essential information, and collect required payments• Manage incoming calls, directing them to appropriate departments and staff members• Triage patient calls to determine necessary action regarding scheduling needs• Maintain accurate patient accounts by recording and updating personal and financial information• Coordinate patient referrals both incoming and outgoing• Schedule patient appointments effectively to optimize patient satisfaction, provider time, and treatment room utilization• Keep clinical staff and insurance/billing staff updated through regular communication via chat, phone, and email• Ensure the confidentiality of personal and financial patient information is maintained at all times• Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed, including miscellaneous receptionist duties.
