Description

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Office Assistant in Omaha, Nebraska. The role exists within the Manufacturing industry, where you will be tasked with various administrative and quality control responsibilities. The workplace is dynamic and fast-paced, with a strong emphasis on data entry skills.

Responsibilities

  • Generate project reports for operations leadership, ensuring all information is accurate and timely.
  • Monitor and track staff time sheets, preparing them for monthly finance reviews.
  • Assist with procurement-related projects, including communication with vendors, quote comparison, and preparation of purchase requisitions.
  • Coordinate the receipt and storage of equipment in the office, ensuring all items are inspected, inventoried, and labeled prior to shipment.
  • Play an integral role in quality control, receiving, inspecting, and logging project equipment, and ensuring adherence to the company's Quality Management System (QMS) procedures.
  • Perform document control functions across multiple projects simultaneously and provide QMS maintenance support.
  • Review all correspondence for grammatical and aesthetic content, ensuring all transmittals issued by individual operation teams adhere to QMS procedures.
  • Provide administrative support during client meetings and assist with project closeout activities, software license renewals, and other special projects as needed.
  • Coordinate onsite and offsite meetings, symposiums, and other operational events.
  • Assist with scheduling and coordinating regular staff performance reviews.

Requirements

  • Must possess strong skills in data entry.
  • Experience in a manufacturing industry is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word.
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
  • Capable of working independently and in a team.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Proven experience as an office assistant or relevant role is desirable.
  • Familiarity with office procedures and basic accounting principles.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
