Job Description
Our client is seeking a highly organized and motivated Civil Litigation Paralegal to join its legal team. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a law firm or legal department and possess strong research, communication, and organizational skills.
- Conduct legal research to support litigation cases
- Assist with the drafting and filing of legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests
- Organize and maintain case files, including electronic and physical documents, exhibits, and calendars
- Assist attorneys with trial preparation, including preparing witness lists, compiling evidence, and creating trial notebooks
- Communicate with clients and witnesses, schedule appointments, conduct interviews, and provide updates on the case
- Perform billing and administrative tasks, such as billing clients, managing expenses, and performing other administrative tasks as needed
- Paralegal certificate or degree / relative experience
- Minimum of 4 years of experience working in a law firm or legal department, with a focus on civil litigation
- Strong research, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal research software
