What are the responsibilities and job description for the Payroll Administrator position at Robert Half?
The ideal Payroll Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the payroll team that runs a complex biweekly and semi-monthly US, Puerto Rico, and Canada payroll, inclusive of over 3,100 employees. Flexibility to work in an office setting as well as working productively and independently from home office.
Knowledge of ADP Vantage or other ADP applications is a plus. System upgraded to ADP Vantage for U.S. and Puerto Rico in Q1-2023 and Workforce Now in Q2-2023 for Canada. Experience with ADPR Reporting, ADP General Ledger, ADP Connection (Databridge), ADP Tax Services, and AsureForce or Kronos time and attendance systems, along with the ability to multitask and troubleshoot.
Strong auditing skills and a high level of attention to detail a must. The Payroll Administrator will be an integral member of the Payroll team and will also work closely with HRIS.
Responsibilities:
· Strong focus on AsureForce time and attendance system, maintaining system by running the daily update. Addressing employee issues as they arise.
· Experience with ADP Pay@Work for Canada payroll. Knowledge of Ontario Workers Comp, Canadian Retirement Plans (DPSP, RRSP) helpful but not necessary.
· ADP Payroll - entering and verifying employee maintenance changes in ADP.
· ADPR reporting - Creating and running reports
· Updating SOP documentation as needed.
· Assist team members with auditing on a per-payroll basis, especially during pay weeks.
· Leave Management tracking and processing for employees out on any type of leave.
· Provide support as needed and be open to learning other duties related to Payroll.
· Assist team with year-end and new-year activities, including the preparation of W2 forms, tax reporting, and other year end federal/state requirements.
· Maintaining compliance and participate in all internal and external audits as needed.
Keys:
- Bachelors Degree preferred, 5 years of full cycle LARGE company (1000E/E) experience
- Multi-State, Weekly/Bi-Weekly, Exempt and Nonexempt, Canada/PR experience would be nice, Yearend Tax/W-2 experience
- Systems: Larger ADP platform a must. ANY implementation/upgrade skills, Time in attendance system experience, basic to intermediate excel.
- Self-starter, self-directed, able to work alone or as part of a team, Must be able to “drill down”, strong communicator

- Adeptness in Multistate Payroll

- 3 years of payroll experience
- CPP or FPC preferred
