Job Description:We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Payroll Clerk to join our team, specializing in reconciling Excel spreadsheets for payroll overpayments for processing. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of payroll procedures, exceptional Excel skills, and a keen eye for discrepancies.Responsibilities:Review and reconcile Excel spreadsheets detailing payroll overpayments.Identify and investigate discrepancies between payroll records and overpayment reports.Collaborate with payroll administrators and managers to rectify overpayment errors.Ensure accuracy and completeness of payroll data before processing.Maintain confidentiality and integrity of payroll information.Communicate effectively with relevant stakeholders to resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.Provide support during payroll audits by compiling necessary documentation and assisting auditors as needed.Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and company policies related to payroll processing and overpayments.Requirements:Proven experience as a Payroll Clerk or similar role, with a focus on reconciling overpayments.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions such as VLOOKUP, PivotTables, and data manipulation.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail.Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines.Familiarity with payroll software and systems is preferred.Understanding of payroll laws, regulations, and compliance standards.Associate's degree or relevant certification in accounting, finance, or a related field is a plus.
