The PC Technician Role is a long-term contract / contract / temporary opportunity and will be located in the Harvey, Illinois region.
How you will make an impact
- Provide computer hardware support for PCs, laptops, monitors, servers, and other IT equipment, including diagnoses, repairs, rebuilds, and refurbishments
- Manage and execute technology implementation projects
- Assist with functionality testing and end user support
- Oversee data transfers from PC to PC and troubleshoot software/hardware and break/fix
- Install printers, troubleshoot and handle repairs
- Ensure the integrity of electronic data records, acting in accordance with company quality standards
- Interface with ticket submitters regularly and effectively
- Handle all imaging and preparation tasks for new computers
- Take down, pack, transport and set up/install on site
- Provide documentation of daily data communication transactions, issues and repairs made or installation activities
- Disassemble, box and ship equipment that is out of date
- Arrange for repairs through the appropriate vendors
- Manage equipment inventory, collaborating on purchases as needed
Requirements
- 2 years of experience supporting PC and Mac hardware and software, as well as knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN, and WAN
- Break Fix experience
- Foundational knowledge in Dell Workstations
- Microsoft Windows 7 in an Active Directory environment experience preferred
- Microsoft Windows 10 experience
- Imaging Devices experience highly desired
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
- Demonstrated flexibility to adapt to changes in procedures
