Project Manager

Description

We are seeking a Project Manager to join our team in the Government sector, located in Lewisville, Texas. In this role, you will be responsible for liaising with various stakeholders, managing project timelines, and coordinating both internal and external tasks. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Lead project planning, budgeting, and identification of resources needed
• Develop project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders
• Manage and coordinate project teams, providing guidance and motivation to drive successful outcomes
• Track project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques
• Implement and manage project changes to achieve project outputs
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget
• Perform risk management to minimize project risks
• Talking with VP of IT Innovation
• Construction PM experience is a good parallel
  
  
  

Requirements

• Experience with lean methodologies for project management
• Strong cost control and vendor management skills
• Ability to facilitate meetings effectively
• Knowledge of change management principles
• Competence in project scheduling and scope management
• Past experience managing large scale projects
• Construction PM experience is a good parallel
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within the government sector
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience
• Strong leadership abilities and experience in team management
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks accordingly
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure
• Proficiency in project management software and other relevant IT tools
• PMP or other relevant project management certification is preferred
• Experience in budget planning and financial forecasting for projects
