We are seeking a Scrum Master to join our team in New York. This role provides mentorship, facilitation, and coaching across our product teams, and is instrumental in planning and executing project plans through Sprints. The Scrum Master will also facilitate cross-team coordination and remove any barriers to ensure an on-time product release. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

Lead multi-team releases to completion and mentor all Scrum Masters across a product
Facilitate all Scrum Masters and TPOs to complete an integrated, cross-team project plan and execute that plan through Sprints
Facilitate the cross-coordination of dependencies, integration points, and cross-team deliveries to ensure a single, integrated product is delivered at each Sprint
Remove cross-team barriers and impediments to ensure an on-time product release
Provide education for employees at all levels on Agile principles, best practices, and the eSDLC
Maintain Agile documentation to include up-to-date information, best practices, and continuous improvement initiatives
Work with all TPOs across the Product to ensure requirements are produced in Gherkin and other formats in accordance with established standards
Monitor the number of uncontained bugs across teams within a milestone and facilitate those to be under the Cap
Ensure the Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and teams across a milestone create the necessary integrated milestone-level artifacts in adherence to the eSDLC
Work with Scrum Masters across teams within a milestone to ensure the progress across all internal teams and external dependencies are on track for the final deliverable date
Drive the number of open issues across the internal teams and external dependencies that could delay the milestone commitment to as close to 0 as possible
Ensure key inputs are filled in and key outputs are communicated effectively at appropriate levels (team, management, business partners, etc.) on the commensurate timeframes for the milestone.

Requirements

Demonstrated experience as a Scrum Master in a software development environment
Proficiency in Agile Scrum methodologies and principles
Familiarity with Microsoft Power BI and Azure DevOps tools
Strong leadership and team building skills
Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges
Exceptional communication skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts
Ability to coach team members on Agile Scrum practices
Experience in facilitating daily scrum, sprint planning, and sprint demo meetings
Ability to track and remove impediments for the scrum team
Strong understanding of Agile metrics (tasks, backlog tracking, burndown metrics, velocity, user stories etc.)
Ability to work collaboratively with all stakeholders
Familiarity with software development lifecycle stages
Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
