As the Senior Cost Accountant you would be tasked with:
- Cost forecasting and modeling
- Analyzing and reporting on inventory levels, unit costs, and gross margins
- Developing cost standards for materials and labor
- Designing and implementing cost accounting systems
- Analyzing production costs and recommending changes
- Overseeing annual physical inventory
- Analyzing manufacturing operations and manufacturing equipment availability and utilization
- Performing month-end cost accounting close
- Maintaining cost accounting system and cost ledger
- Performing life cycle cost-benefit analysis
- Preparing special reports by analyzing and summarizing information and trends
- Collaborating with executive team and partners to support efficient and effective firm-wide operation
- Enabling effective Business Intelligence (BI) to provide forward-looking insight and decision support
- Deciphering and resolving internal and external drivers impacting performance and trending
- When working with business partners, ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls. Additionally, be able to provide support on special requests
- Evaluating, implementing and streamlining policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies
- Protecting operations by keeping financial information confidential

Requirements
- Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems
- 3 years of cost accounting experience
- Excellent attention to detail
- BA/BS in Accounting
- Proficient in ERP systems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional time management skills preferred
- Dedication and requisite skills to meet critical business deadlines
- Demonstrated analytical abilities, tendency to quickly connect dots and surmise logical outcomes
Salary : $75,000 - $85,000
