Houston Energy client is looking for a Senior Credit Risk Analyst to oversee the company's credit risk function, assessing creditworthiness of potential customers, managing and monitoring existing portfolios and establishing credit risk processes and policies.
A bachelor's degree in business or related field and 5 years in a Credit / Risk role are required. As well as the following experience:
- Develop or revise credit risk policies and procedures to reduce the exposure to bad debts and ensure risk mitigation.
- Oversee the company’s risk and exposure, identifying potential threats to its financial security.
- Make decisions on credit applications, setting credit limits and terms for approved applications.
- Conduct detailed portfolio analyses and reports for senior management and key stakeholders.
- Evaluate the creditworthiness of potential customers, using credit scoring metrics, financial analysis, and other risk assessment tools.
- Engage with internal departments to ascertain credit risks.
- Remain up to date with credit-related regulations and laws, ensuring the company’s policies are compliant.
