Description The Manager of Software Development is responsible for the architecture, design, development, maintenance of software products for kiosk, cash dispensers, ATMs to provide patrons access to their funds for gaming in casino's and online gaming platforms, and the internal administrative and reporting systems to support these services. This includes the management of a small team of company software developers supplemented by offshore contract developers. This position reports to the CEO.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- The development of enterprise level software, which has regulated components requiring lab certifications, for kiosk on casino floors redeeming/issuing slot tickets, supporting ATM, cash advance, and check cashing cash dispensing transactions.
- The development and maintenance of enterprise level software for a cash dispensing product for use in casino cages, as a standalone payout device for jackpots and for cash payouts in gaming route operations.
- Integration of the payment platforms with a digital wallet application affording patrons access to their funds.
- The development of methodologies to manage large scale databases requiring real time access to information.
- Architecting the methodologies to protect highly confidential information from hacking and unauthorized intrusions.
- The development of administrative and reporting system to support products.
- The development of project budgets and management of labor and other expenses to stay within approved budgets.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:
- 5-10 years of hands-on experience in the design, coding, and testing of applications in payment processing and mobile applications including interfaces with a variety of payment terminals.
- 2-4 years' experience in managing a small software development team.
- Current technical knowledge of Microsoft development tools, e.g. C#.net, SQL, etc.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- A hands-on manager of technical personnel with a current personal skill set to design, code, and debug applications.
