What are the responsibilities and job description for the SQL Database Developer position at Robert Half?
Robert Half has partnered up with a successful company to find an experienced Database Developer to join their efforts. In addition to Database development, this role will also work closely with the DBA to help provide support for ongoing production database administration tasks. This Database Developer position will be a permanent opportunity based in the Durham, North Carolina area. This position will work 3 days per week in the office.
Major responsibilities
- SQL development including Stored Procedures and Views
- Help BI analytics team with development (SSIS/ETL)
- Assist in the administering SQL databases / Provide DBA support. This will include partnering with other DBA to provide after hours support, as needed. We deploy upgrades monthly and will need to keep an eye on emails to restart server, if needed.
- Work with ERP vendor to get modification made, as needed. E.g. to add forms (new screens) as needed by business.
- Assist Data Analytics team with ETL (SSIS) development
Hiring manager’s comments:
- We are OK with hiring a SQL Developer who wants to grow into the DBA component. The majority of role will be development.
- 75% of the DBA tasks have been automated.
- We are having an application built in Azure. You will have opportunity to help us build communication between on-prem and Azure servers.
Salary : $90,000 - $110,000
