Responsibilities
- Prepare journal entries
- Conduct monthly reconciliation of balance sheet, bank and credit card accounts
- Complete month-end close responsibilities within timeline
- Assist with budget preparations and financial planning processes
- Participate in the ongoing development/establishment of accounting policies and procedures and operational strategies
- Maintain current knowledge of organizational policies and procedures, federal and state policies, and current accounting standards
- Monitor financial transactions and reports
- Implement systematic and organized recordkeeping for easy tracking and retrieval
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- A minimum of one year of experience in a Staff Accountant role
- Proficiency in Bank Reconciliations
- Experience with General Ledger maintenance
- Ability to prepare Journal Entries accurately
- Experience in Month End Close processes
- Skill in Balance Sheet Reconciliation
- Understanding of GAAP Accounting principles
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain accuracy
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
