Staff Accountant

As Staff Accountant, your duties will include preparing monthly and year-end closings, journal entries, fixed asset maintenance, bank reconciliation, and general ledger reconciliation. A very involved position, this role produces Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets. During the monthly close, you'll also be charged with various aspects of internal reporting. In addition, your responsibilities include communicating with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, playing an active role in compliance, and reviewing schedules for the reporting processes.Major responsibilities- Participate in various department-wide initiatives- Assist in implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP- Ad-hoc reporting and special projects, as needed- Organize capital lease and monthly payment schedules- Partake in annual closing processes- Manage the design and creation of balance sheet analysis and communicate reports to management- Carry out fixed asset ledger, depreciation, and reconciliation- Offer descriptions of a large number of financial data and communicate insights in a useful and understandable manner- Maintain intricate journal entries and account reconciliations including but not limited to cash, prepaid expenses and payroll- Execute month end close, journal entries, with little supervision
