We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team based in East Bernard, Texas. This role is integral to our company's financial operations and will involve tasks such as processing payments, executing bill payments, creating invoices, and maintaining customer account information. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop and utilize your accounting skills in a dynamic work environment.Responsibilities:• Receive and post payments to customer accounts from various sources such as checks, ACH payments, wire transfers, and virtual credit cards.• Record payable transactions with appropriate vendor payment information in NetSuite.• Execute bill payments via check within due dates and prepare them for mailing.• Create and manage invoices for sales orders based on customer pricing, shipping, and taxability settings.• Monitor online credit card payment gateway for potential fraud and take necessary action.• Collaborate with customers to collect on past due amounts where appropriate.• Update customer account information such as billing addresses and credit cards on file as needed.• Ensure compliance with accounting and financial regulations and standards.• Reconcile the company’s bank statements and bookkeeping ledgers.• Manage financial and accounting software used by the company.• Develop working relationships with 3rd-party banking, legal, and CPA firms.
