Staff Accountant

Tyler Houk (Practice Director) with Robert Half is searching for a meticulous Staff Accountant to join our team in the Food & Food Processing industry, based in Reedley, California. In this role, you will be responsible for a wide range of accounting tasks, including cost accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and job costing preparations. You will also oversee the month-end financial close of all job costing and reporting processes, financial planning and analysis, budget comparisons, and reconciliation of various financial data and journal entries. Responsibilities:• Maintain and improve costing models used for creating pack charges• Analyze historical and forecast future costs related to labor, materials, and burden• Monitor labor, material, and burden budget and budget to actual reports• Capture and report cost of goods sold and production reports• Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements• Assist in the preparation of management reports and presentations• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations• Review and maintain general ledger accounts to ensure proper categorization of expenses• Prepare and post journal entries• Conduct month-end and year-end close processes• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts• Monitor budget performance and report variances• Support the development and implementation of financial plans• Prepare audit schedules and provide support during internal and external audits• Address audit findings and implement corrective actions• Assist in the preparation and filing of tax returns• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations• Verify and sign off on all third-party vendor invoices• Process accounts payable invoices and ensure timely payments• Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing and collections• Reconcile accounts payable and receivable balances• Review depreciation schedules for accuracy• Analyze farm operations, equipment availability, utilization, and life cycle cost benefits• Maintain Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Database• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data within the ERP system

Salary : $65,000 - $85,000
