Responsibilities
- Maintain and track tax payments and return deadlines.
- Prepare tax returns, payments, necessary paperwork, and reports.
- Identifying tax savings and suggesting ways to increase profits.
- Follow industry trends and track changes related to taxes.
- Assist in addressing and resolving tax issues.
- Perform clerical duties such as record-keeping, data entry, and handling mail.
- Proven experience as a Tax Clerk, Tax Assistant or similar role.
- Knowledge of tax procedures and principles.
- Excellent mathematical and analytical abilities.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and multitask.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Associate or bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
- Familiarity or experience with accounting software
