Roc Search is partnering with a leading fast food company to find a Senior Cloud Engineer to join their team on a long-term contract.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and deploy scalable, reliable, and cost-effective serverless solutions on AWS using TypeScript/Node.js
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications and architectural designs
- Implement best practices for security, performance, and reliability in cloud-based systems
- Drive automation initiatives to streamline deployment processes, improve operational efficiency, and minimize manual intervention
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize cloud resources to ensure optimal performance and cost-effectiveness
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred
- 8 years of experience in cloud engineering, with a focus on AWS services and serverless architecture
- Extensive experience in TypeScript/Node.js development and experience with serverless frameworks such as AWS Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, and Step Functions
- Extensive experience with Middleware, REST API's, GraphQL API's.
- Strong understanding of cloud security best practices, including identity and access management, encryption, and compliance
- Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as AWS CloudFormation or Terraform
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment
- AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Developer) preferred
