The Molecular Lab RUO/LDT/Pharma Partnering Research and Early Development team in Pleasanton, CA at Roche Diagnostics Solutions is seeking a talented and motivated Lab Manager. The qualified candidate will reach throughout the organization to engage others, align, and deliver services that support research and product development in the Molecular Lab Research and Early Development (ML RED) team.
The opportunity
This is an active role and makes a positive impact on the ML RED team activities by overseeing, coordinating, or executing any activities that will maintain a safe, clean, functional, and organized laboratory environment. You will work with lab users as well as external stakeholders to ensure labs are stocked appropriately, equipment is functioning and users are working appropriately in the labs.You will lead meetings where users are informed about any changes or upcoming audits and represent ML RED with external stakeholders where lab matters are discussed.
- You will serve as the main point of contact for ML RED laboratories for both internal and external stakeholders. You communicate with lab owners and coordinate the lab user meetings
- You oversee compliance with the company's health and safety policies and procedures in the ML RED Laboratories as needed.
- You are interacting with other internal departments, as necessary, to (among others) address equipment issues (DSI), safety audits (SHE) and to order supplies, reagents, and small equipment
- You are responsible for pipette management and collaboration with other departments for external calibrations. Also, coordinating laboratory equipment set up as needed as well as
- You are assisting in verifying documents, including data summaries, reports, SOPs, and procedures. As well as executing administrative tasks related to it, including CTUs
- You will oversee the ML RED laboratories' cleaning schedules and organization.
- You are developing and maintaining a database system to record and inventory oligonucleotides, nucleic acids, and biological samples.
Who you are
- You hold a Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
- Equivalent experience of 2-4 years in a related field is acceptable
- Related experience is working in a molecular biology laboratory setting
