Non Ferrous Laborer

Rochester Iron recently purchased Paul's Auto Yard and are looking for some new employees to grow with the company.
The Non-Ferrous laborer supports the non-ferrous department by sorting all inbound non-ferrous materials into the correct bins, assists with inventories, processes non-ferrous scrap metals, and helps prepare material for shipment. The non-ferrous laborer must communicate clearly and professionally with customers and team members while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES

  • Helping customers unload non-ferrous materials
  • Identify and grade non-ferrous metals
  • Identify non-conforming or unacceptable types of scrap metal
  • Assist in buying
  • Operate small material handling equipment such as sit down forklift or skid steer and handheld tools
  • Clean and maintain work area
  • Assist in the yard as needed
  • Performs other related duties as defined by management
Training is available but any previous Non Ferrous experience is a huge plus!!!

Schedule Monday-Saturday 8-5pm
