To assist the professional personnel by performing routine functions of patient care and support. Assists in maintenance of a safe and clean environment under the direction and supervision of the Charge Nurse. Adheres to the professional standards of NYS OASAS.
- Supervise patients, including coordination of activities, meals and ADL’s.
- Clerical functions and ordering.
- Transport urines, register patients, accompany patients to appointments.

LOCATION: Canton Potsdam Hospital
DEPARTMENT: Inpatient rehab unit
SCHEDULE: Variable Shifts
ATTRIBUTES:
Ability to work in a sometimes stressful environment to include ensuring patient safety through regular rounding and patient interaction. Outgoing personality is also beneficial with a team oriented sensibility.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervise patients, including coordination of activities, meals and ADL’s.

Transport urines, register patients, accompany patients to appointments.

EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
S - Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
