SUMMARY
This position is responsible for performing quality control tests and inspections for all aspects of construction.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Tasks vary according to job assignments and may include testing of concrete, soils, masonry, asphalt, steel reinforcement, wood, fire-proofing, and structural steel. Other duties may be assigned. Regular attendance is an essential function of this job.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Employee must be able to drive, use testing equipment, and be outdoors at hot or cold temperatures.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School or Diploma. Must have knowledge and experience with GPS navigation systems and be able to operate it effectively.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, write, and clearly communicate in English. Ability to write reports and understand procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, contractors, engineers, and clients.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to apply concepts of basic math such as subtraction, addition, and measurements.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
None required but will train to achieve certificates in ACI, NICET, and ICC. Minimum certification must be obtained as Field Technician within 90 days and under special request, 120 days.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to climb and reach above shoulder. Employee is frequently required to stand, walk, twist, turn, stoop, bend, push, pull, squat, balance, jump, crawl, or kneel. There is repetitive use of hand and wrist along with forearm rotation. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high.
