What are the responsibilities and job description for the Auto Cutting Machine Apprentice position at Rock House Farms (RHF)?
Job Details
Position Details:
- Understand the basic operations of the automated fabric cutting machine
- Be familiar with the safety features of the cutting machine, i.e. E-stops, lock-out tag-out, etc
- Assist in pulling and loading materials to be cut
- Be able to identify, label, and tag cut parts
- Know and understand standard bundling procedures
- Identify fabric flaws and defects and notify the operator of such items
- Read tickets and understand special instructions. This includes contrasting fabrics
- Assist in clean up and preventive maintenance of the cutting machine daily
- Notify the cutting machine operator of any problems with the equipment or cut covers
- Carry out additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor
- Work safely at all times and implement lock-out tag-out procedures when maintenance is being performed on the machine
- Report any unsafe condition or practices to the Supervisor
Position Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Experience in a furniture manufacturing setting preferred
