Position Description:
As a Marketing Analyst, you will be responsible for connecting the RockAuto brand to consumers around the world. This position involves the design, delivery, and evaluation of marketing campaigns, primarily using mass media, across platforms ranging from traditional to cutting edge.
A successful Marketing Analyst will:
- Understand RockAuto's customers and catalog.
- Scout and assess new opportunities to get RockAuto's message in front of consumers.
- Lead the development and curation of engaging content for linear television, connected TV, podcasts, etc.
- Bring continuous improvement to the role (and the company as a whole) by identifying and designing processes for the automation of routine tasks.
- Monitor and optimize the performance of algorithms that guide how, and where, to advertise.
- Guide the sales forecasting process.
Position Requirements:
In addition to a bachelor's degree in Marketing with a quantitative focus, or an MBA, and top-tier academic performance, a Marketing Analyst must demonstrate:
- Proven success using marketing concepts, such as reach/frequency, cost per exposure, traffic vs. sales, A/B testing, etc., particularly in the context of digital marketing.
- A history of balancing creativity with business judgment.
- Desire and ability to manage multiple simultaneous initiatives by initiating, executing, and evaluating projects with limited guidance or supervision
- Persuasive written communication and negotiation skills, supported by analytical skills to verify or disprove claims..
- Experience processing large data sets using SQL, Python, R, or other similar tools.
All RockAuto employees must be able to work full-time from our Madison, WI office and have the ability to work for any US employer without visa sponsorship.
Preferred but not required:
- Experience with electronic data interchange (EDI) and/or application programming interfaces (APIs)
- Competence with HTML, JavaScript, CSS, or other web design languages
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite or other design software
