Clinical Assistant Professor of Business Analytics

Job Details

• Oversee academic programs to ensure alignment with college goals and industry needs:

• • Bachelor of Science in Analytics and Technology
  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (in partnership with UMKC)
  • Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity (in partnership with Saint Louis University)
  • Master of Science in Data Analytics
  • Graduate-level certificates in analytics

• Lead development and management of curriculum for existing and new analytics and technology programs
• Coordinate with partner universities in the delivery and assessment of shared courses
• Collaborate with college leadership to develop and implement strategic initiatives related to technology degrees and certificates
• Participate in efforts related to student recruitment, retention, and engagement
• Provide mentorship and support to students

Teaching:

• Deliver high-quality courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels in areas such as analytics, computer science, or related disciplines, dependent on the needs of the University and expertise of the faculty member.
• Design curriculum, course materials, and assessments that align with industry trends and academic standards
• Utilize innovative teaching methodologies, including hands-on projects, case studies, and experiential learning opportunities
• Provide mentorship and support to students, fostering their academic and professional growth in analytics and technology fields
• Stay current with advancements in analytics tools, technologies, and methodologies, integrating relevant updates into course content

Required Qualifications

• A master’s degree in analytics, computer science, information technology, or a related field from an accredited institution
• Relevant industry experience in analytics, information technology, or related fields
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage diverse stakeholders, including students, faculty, staff, and industry partners
• Knowledge of key analytical tools: R, Python, Tableau, Excel, and/or SQL
• Strong organizational and leadership abilities, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and program development
• A commitment to fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion in academia and the broader community

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses in analytics, computer science, or a related field, with a strong commitment to student learning and success
