POSITION: Job Developer for the Rockland Works Career Center Grant Funded Program
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conducts outreach with local employers and educational institutions in Rockland County
- Identifies, recruits, and maintains collaborative relationships with local businesses and educational institutions to establish educational and employment opportunities including, but not limited to, on-the-job training (OJT) and paid and unpaid internship experiences
- Acts as liaison between educational institutions, businesses, and students to find meaningful internship and work based learning opportunities
- Organizes job fairs, on-the-spot interviews, and educational workshops for local employers, students, and career center clients
- Assists with on-the-job (OJT) training, work based learning, and internship programs for customers and students utilizing these services
- Develops and maintains good communication with other programs and BOCES divisions to facilitate intra agency referrals and collaboration
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or related field such as School Counseling, School Psychology, Education, or Social Work preferred. NYSED certification in the areas listed or Adult Education certification required. Experience in the Workforce Development field is a plus.
SALARY: $27-$35 per hour
WORK YEAR: Part-Time/Hourly – flexible hours in late afternoon/early evening/Saturdays
