Pay starting at $22.00 / hr. Experienced candidates may be eligible to start at higher pay. Pay will be determined based on experience and skill set.
Interstate Sand and Gravel is a surface limestone mine / quarry currently seeking an Experienced Equipment Operator for our Interstate Sand and Gravel operation located in Williamsport, IN.
This position offers a union environment with excellent pay, pension, and benefits.
- Operate a variety of heavy equipment and machinery in a rock quarry including dozer, excavator, front end loader, dredge, haul truck, dragline excavator, and general work around the quarry operation
- Perform daily pre and post inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with company policies
- Perform servicing and maintenance of equipment as trained and directed by management
- Operate equipment with a high degree of competency, skill, and proficiency
- Properly follow all company policies and OSHA / MSHA / environmental regulations for safe working procedures and environment
- Other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum two years' experience operating dragline and / or loader, excavator is preferred.
- General mechanical knowledge
- Ability to maintain safe working conditions.
- Self-starter / ability to work without close supervision.
- Previous experience working in mining environment preferred.
- Overtime is required as needed and may include Saturdays.
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening.
