Warehouse Specialist
Rogers Heating & Cooling is looking to add an organized, goal-oriented individual to our team in South Boston, VA as a Warehouse Specialist. The ideal candidate must be organized, a team player, have the ability to multi-task and handle multiple deadlines, and able to work with both detailed and limited supervision. This position will work closely with both the Field Coordinator and Purchaser to ensure that product is received and staged in a timely manner and that the warehouse is kept organized and runs efficiently. This position will be responsible for ensuring that all parts needed for jobs are available for field staff both prior to and during the job, as well as maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the warehouse and grounds.
Primary duties include but are not limited to:
· Ensuring all jobs scheduled for the next day have all material and equipment ready for pickup
· Work with the purchaser to maintain inventory and min/max levels
· Unload deliveries and ensure they are put away in proper location
· Prep work for upcoming jobs
· Assist installers in loading and unloading vans
· Properly receive daily replenishment and purchase orders to maintain accurate inventory.
· Maintain a safe and professional warehouse.
· Put away any deliveries, mark equipment received with job name and number, stage in appropriate area
· Perform quarterly inventory count
· Check schedule for all jobs each day, pull material list and stage
· Remove clutter and scrap from shop area
· Pick up all garbage from warehouse and building grounds
· Pull truck stock for Service Department
· Review schedule with field coordinator and purchaser for upcoming jobs to make certain that all material lists have been turned in for pulling and staging
· Put away all extra materials brought back by installers the day before
· Lock/unlock building and yard
· Scrap equipment
· Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
· High School Diploma or GED required
· Warehouse or Operations management experience
· Exceptional intrapersonal skills
· Professional appearance
· Computer skills
· Excellent communication and organizational skills
· Ability to effectively manage time and branch operations
· Product knowledge of HVAC and Electrical items is helpful
· Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
· Lift up to 50 pounds; be able to push, pull, carry or maneuver heavier items (with additional manpower or appropriate devices)
· Observe all company procedures and safety rules
· Maintain accurate time records and receipts and send to office when required
· Work as part of our team to ensure customer satisfaction
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year
