Roll & Hill is looking for a dedicated general manager who will be responsible for driving operational strategy toward continued profitable growth of our wood furniture manufacturing facility. The candidate will manage daily operations and long-term projects measured against business goals. The general manager will establish and maintain the effective working relationships between all departments for a unified approach. The candidate will focus on meeting and exceeding operating goals, client objectives and delivering the service and quality Roll & Hill is known for.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Reports directly to senior management.
- Collaborates with leadership to set and assess priorities across teams at our Wood Manufacturing facility
- Collaborates with engineering and sales team to set and assess priorities.
- Planning, directing, and coordinating all activities for production, quality control, and maintenance to ensure customer commitments are met.
- Creates and maintains communication process within facility to ensure employees are fully engaged and informed, and their efforts are aligned with the business Manages processes necessary to identify and fix/diffuse employee issues and maintains positive employee relations.
- Coordinates with shared services (HR, Accounting, IT, etc.)
- Utilize daily management systems as part of operational best practices and reporting
- Manage process improvement initiatives & projects.
- Assesses cost effectiveness and feasibility of manufacturing processes; makes and implements recommendations to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
- Supervises tooling operations, ensuring all work is performed accurately and according to quality and safety standards.
- Provides guidance and oversight in development and execution of plant renovations and expansions; coordinates outside contractors and vendors.
- Assists the Maintenance Supervisor and/or other appropriate leadership with programs, activities, and responsibilities of the maintenance department.
- Ensures compliance with health and safety laws, regulations, and guidelines, including EPA and OSHA requirements.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/experience:
- Bachelors degree in management or engineering, or equivalent experience in manufacturing or engineering required.
- Experience working in a data driven environment and within date systems such as ERP and PLM. Experience working within NetSuite is highly beneficial.
- 5-10 years’ experience in a manufacturing management role
- 3-5 years working in a wood manufacturing shop
- Thorough understanding of plant engineering, industrial engineering and equipment.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
