As the QA Lead Inspector you will lead the QA team in its daily operations. Your duties will include assigning QA inspectors' tasks, performing dimensional inspections to determine acceptability against standards or specifications, performing non-destructive testing (NDT) and visual inspections on in-process and finished components.

Key Accountabilities:
- Assist the QA manager by providing daily/weekly job assignments to the QA inspectors and providing feedback on the status of those tasks.
- Document and maintain required inspection records I.A.W. company procedures.
- Perform dimensional and NDT inspections and determine acceptability against standards or specifications and provide supporting documentation/reports.
- Perform detailed inspections and evaluations on new and for repair naval propellers and blades and document the results.
- Review quality documentation for currency or relevance and update accordingly.
- Perform in-process audits on the foundry, finishing, and machining departments to ensure compliance with processes and policies.
Basic Requirements:
- High School graduate with a minimum of 5 years' experience in manufacturing and/or inspection experience
- Familiarity with Mil-specs and ship building standards for welding, NDT, and manufacture of naval propellers and blades.
- Knowledge and use of standard measuring and test equipment.
- Proficient in using MS Office programs (i.e., MS Word and Excel)
- In order to be considered for this opportunity, you must be eligible to obtain and maintain security clearance, which requires USA Citizenship
Preferred Requirements:
- Naval Foundry, Finishing and/or Machine Shop background.
- Knowledge and experience with welding and NDT best practices
- SAP knowledge
- Production floor leadership/shop supervisor experience.
