Responsibilities:
- Manage the used car department and oversee all operations related to buying, selling, and trading used vehicles.
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Cold call potential customers and follow up on leads to generate new business opportunities.
- Provide sales support and guidance to the sales team, assisting with negotiations and closing deals.
- Upsell additional products and services to maximize revenue.
- Monitor the market trends and competition to stay informed about pricing, inventory, and customer preferences.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory, sales, and customer interactions.
- Ensure proper inventory control, including vehicle appraisals, inspections, and reconditioning processes.
- Collaborate with other departments such as finance and service to ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Train and motivate the sales team to achieve individual and departmental goals.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in automotive sales, preferably in a managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of used car market trends, pricing strategies, and inventory management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with customers and negotiate effectively.
- Multilingual abilities, particularly bilingual in English and Spanish, is highly desirable.
- Proficient in using CRM systems and other sales tools to manage leads and track sales pipeline.
- Ability to analyze data, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement effective solutions.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team towards achieving sales targets.
