In this key role as HR Generalist, you will be responsible for payroll and benefits administration, and will partner with employees at all levels to provide an exceptionally high level of service by supporting overall business objectives via the HR function. Managers and their team members will value your contribution to the organization through your use of best practices and proactive communication. You will collaborate with other HR team members to ensure that HR is a trusted and respected business partner by adding value through your expertise and insight.
Responsibilities include:
- Perform full-cycle payroll processing in Paylocity according to payroll schedule in alignment with best practices and relevant wage and hour laws
- Facilitate benefits and 401k processes including enrollment, benefits compliance, bill reconciliation, and open enrollment through communication and maintenance of relevant benefit systems
- In collaboration with leadership, implement and lead HR touchpoints including, but not limited to: Performance Management, Open Enrollment, Onboarding/Offboarding, and Training and Development
- Ensure compliance with and provide appropriate interpretation of policies and procedures, and local/state/federal employment regulations
- Positively contribute to the overall company culture through event planning and coordination, employee relations, and communication
- Drive people initiatives with strong communication skills, coaching and influencing, and offer thought-leadership regarding organizational/people related strategy and transition planning & execution
- Provide relevant data and recommendations to guide decision-making related to compensation, organizational development related matters, including organizational analysis, strategy, structure and key processes to support organizational/business needs
- Prepare internal employee communications regarding compensation, benefits, and company policy
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality of all employee, company and customer information
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- 4-6 years Human Resources experience, preferably as the primary HR contact
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, HR certification a plus
- Excellent understanding of general human resources policies, procedures, knowledge of employment/labor laws.
- Experience with Paylocity payroll system a plus
- General knowledge of basic human resources including recruitment and retention
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Excellent interpersonal and client service skills
- The ability to learn quickly, think critically, and build collaborative relationships throughout the organization
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent service and communication skills with internal team members and external vendors
- Ability to work independently and as a team member
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Comfortable in a fast-paced organization that requires flexibility and responsiveness
- Possesses effective prioritization, organizational and time management skills.
- Demonstrates strong computer literacy and knowledge of specialized programs including Microsoft Office products and payroll systems
- Ability to maintain structure in a paperless environment
- Team mindset and ability to follow and enforce company procedures
- Display integrity and professional behavior consistent with Ronald Blue & Co. CPAs values and mission
