Cement Finisher Local 2
A cement finisher needs to be in the union, have completed the MUST safety system (management union serving together) completed 18 safety modules and a have current drug test. In general, be knowledgeable and safe to work on a large commercial jobsite.
A finisher should have the skills to form, place and finish any of a number of cement slabs. Needs to be able to work with other trades to accomplish the desired level of surface called out in the specifications. Should be able to screed, bull float, finish trowel or power trowel concrete surfaces. Has to be able to sawcut the slab in a straight line, and have an ability to read blue prints for elevation and other issues as they arrive.
