We are looking for a hands-on Director of Quality who will be responsible for ensuring the highest levels of quality control and assurance for a fast-paced start-up. You will develop, implement, and manage the quality management system, as well as ensure design specifications are met - for both raw materials and finished goods - for internal manufacturing and product assembly. You'll work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve quality issues and will have a strong knowledge of quality control procedures, engineering, and metrology.

What You Will Do (key responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to):
- Develop and implement a comprehensive quality management system (QMS) to ensure consistency and traceability of raw materials, finished goods, and processes
- Create and maintain quality control procedures to ensure the highest levels of quality control and assurance for products and goods delivered to project sites
- Work with Technology team to implement methods to inspect and evaluate products and tooling
- Monitor and evaluate key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement in quality control and assurance
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve quality issues and develop corrective and preventive actions to address quality issues
- Conduct periodic audits to ensure compliance with quality standards and identify opportunities for continuous improvement
- Manage and develop relationships with suppliers and contract manufacturers to ensure design specifications are met
- Develop and deliver training to employees on quality control procedures and best practices
- Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication of quality-related issues
- Qualify and track new suppliers, contract manufacturers, and processes from a quality perspective
What You Will Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, or equivalent work experience
- At least 8 years of experience in quality management with a strong background in quality control procedures, engineering, and metrology
- Experience building a QMS from the ground up with a strong understanding of quality control procedures and industry standards
- Experience managing quality control and assurance for raw materials, construction assembly quality, and finished goods
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes of non-conformance and develop effective corrective and preventive actions
- This role requires up to 30% travel.

The annual salary range for this role is $200,000.00 - $225,000.00. This role necessitates being on-site at our Alameda HQ. The role is eligible for Rondo's excellent benefits listed above plus additional compensation in the form of equity. Please note that some pay bands may have wide ranges of compensation to accommodate candidates' diverse sets of skill levels and experience.
