Branch Manager - Commercial Roofing

Job Description

General Description: The RoofCARE branch manager position is critically important to the immediate and long-term strategic success of the company. The branch manager is accountable for all the day to day activities of the specified branch. The branch manager is responsible and oversees sales and production of the branch including project management, safety, CRM management, personnel management, and any other function associated with the company mission. The branch manager ultimately operates a profitable and growing roof asset management commercial unit. Providing exceptional internal and external customer service shall be at the forefront.

It is important to note that the RoofCARE branch does not operate in a silo nor by itself, it is integrally connected to the associated region and corporate resources. The branch manager ensures communication, collaboration, and cooperation between the branch and all other supporting/resource individuals, departments, and upper leadership.

Responsibilities:

• Sales – oversees and guides the sales team in establishing sales objectives, develops annual sales quotas for responsible territories and clients, and maintains sales volumes at standard profit margins. Safeguards long-term client relationships by providing professional technical roofing advice and world-class customer service. Proficiency with RoofCARE Sales System is mandatory.
  
  

Consistently in search of and on the lookout for new and potential customers that meet RoofCARE’s preferred/target customer base. Proposal estimating and assistance with team member sales by participating in ride-alongs, team selling, presentations, networking, and sales strategy. Maintains a professional and technical savvy team by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and participating in professional and industrial functions and associations.

• Project Management – Leads the project management team to effectively manage the “project life cycle”. Establishes processes, planning, safety, quality, and overall project execution. Ensures correct data entry into CRM, updating, and closeout.
• Production – The major focus of production management is to continuously determine methods to streamline processes, keep operational cost down, decrease errors, and lift team members to the highest quality standards to meet deadlines and goals by providing employees with the right tools, equipment, and materials.
  
  

A major responsibility of the position is that of personnel management including technicians, supervisors, project managers, and sales representatives through hiring, evaluation, coaching, strategic placement, and at last resort termination. Other duties may include job and crew scheduling, material and equipment inventory, fleet management and use and training of software products.

• Safety – Roofing is inherently hazardous, but roofing workers’ safety is paramount to RoofCARE’s operation. There are numerous ways to reduce work-site injuries, and company safety programs provide ongoing training to ensure success. All roofing practices have been analyzed to determine how improved safety methods will contribute to worker health and safety. It is the duty of the branch manager to ensure all safety regulations and policies are correctly followed and adhered to. Safety is always the number one priority of this position.

Authority:

This position holds decision and management authority over branch sales representatives, project managers, project supervisors, and technicians.

Measurement of Performance:

All measurements will be stated on quarterly KPIs, performance to accomplish KPIs is essential to retaining the standards of this position in high regards.

Qualifications

• Construction management software proficiency
• Strong project scheduling skills
• Experience in construction management and project coordination
• Knowledge of ProCore, Bluebeam, and other premium construction software
• Ability to read blueprints and understand schematics
• Excellent time management skills
• Familiarity with contracts and project estimating
• Prior experience in commercial roofing projects
• Certification in project management is a plus
