Training and Development Specialist
RoomReady is looking for an experienced training professional to work under the direction of the Director of Human Resources. The Training and Development Specialist plan, develop, organize, and deliver a comprehensive staff development and training program for all levels of personnel. Training and Development opportunities will be held in-person and virtually. The position will select and assign instructors to conduct specific training and development, along with create specialize curriculum. Candidate must be located around one of our 3 physical locations: Bloomington IL, Beaverton OR or St. Louis MO nad report to the office 3 times per week.

Key Responsibilities
- Assesses training and development needs through surveys, interviews, focus groups, and communication with managers, instructors, and customer representatives.
- Creates, organizes, plans, and presents various forms of onboarding, orientation, and skills training for employees and customers.
- Develops unique training programs to fulfill workers’ specific needs to maintain or improve job skills.
- Designs and develops curricula, which could include any audio-visual aids, handbooks, and/or written on-line documentation, to meet specific training needs.
- Presents training and development programs using various forms and formats including group discussion, lecture, simulations, and videos.
- Maintains records of training and development activities, attendance, results of tests and assessments, and retraining requirements.
- Evaluates program effectiveness through assessments, surveys, and feedback.
- Maintains knowledge of the latest trends in training and development.
- Prepares and implements training budget; maintains records and reports of expenses.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods.
- Ability to evaluate and research training options and alternatives.
- Ability to design and implement effective training and development.
- Extremely proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related program software.
- Capable of working independently as well as in a team environment.
- Ability to present self in a professional manner and positively represent the company image.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Training and Development, Education, or a related field required, or equivalent experience.
- At least two years of training, or educational experience is required.
- Strong aptitude and desire to learn AV technology.
