The Collection Specialist is responsible for assisting customers regarding billing questions and to process and resolve any collection issues.
Qualifications :
- BA / BS Degree
- Must have the highest level of integrity and business ethics.
- Ability to maintain quality and productivity when faced with time pressures.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to tailor and deliver messages at various levels within the organization.
- Strong project management skills and experience.
Skills Required :
- Detail oriented with focus on complete documentation and accuracy.
- Solid understanding of Excel and Office applications.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work with people at all levels of the organization.
- Self-starter with ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
Job Duties / Responsibilities :
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
- Match incoming cash receipts (checks and ACH payments) with open invoices.
- Monitor and maintain assigned accounts on daily basis - Customer calls, payment status via customer portals, account adjustments, customer reconciliations.
- Contact customers with overdue accounts and resolve billing issues.
- Perform other assigned tasks and duties necessary to support the Accounts Receivable Department.
- Enlist the efforts of sales managers and senior management when necessary to accelerate the collection process.
