POSITION SUMMARY
The Brake Press Operator reads and follows detailed blueprints and schematics to bend sheets of metal. This position requires the lifting of metal sheets into machines to shear and bend to make bodies, hose bed covers, and other parts, as necessary. They must also ensure that bend meets angle grade and other specifications of the build.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

- Lifts metal sheets into machines to make bodies, hose bed covers, and other parts, as necessary.
- Reads and understands body prints, paper, and CAD.
- Ensures that bend meets angle grade and other specifications of the build.
- Sets up and operates fabricating machines such as brakes, timesaver, shears, and drill presses.
- Loads completed work in opposite order of specifications for the next department in a dedicated cart to be moved.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as required by the supervisor to meet the needs of the company and our members
