Responsibilities/Requirements:
- Completes and posts the daily and weekly shift work assignment schedule for all personnel in the designated location
- Observes all personnel at the beginning of work shift for compliance with all checklist items
- Verbally informs personnel of any menu or pricing changes, shortages, specials, or other factors that relate to food production or service
- Checks projection and production of food levels and preparation
- Supervises food and preparation and service operations while on duty, while assisting FOH and BOH workers during rush periods
- Generating and collecting reviews daily, and weekly business reports for compliance and standards
- Lead the team in cleaning and maintenance of the facility and equipment
- Be able to address personnel issues and terminate personnel if necessary
- Investigate and resolve food quality and service complaints
- Ordering food and product for refill and production purposes, and receive food to ensure it is up to standards and expectations
- Supervises inventories and estimate costs of products
- Review financial information tip, sales, and labor to monitor budget
- Support the leadership of the Back of House and complete tasks as assigned
- Train and develop new team members so they can advance their careers and have upward mobility
- Retain a strong Back of House team through successful training
- Monitor and control all food and labor costs
- The Food Comes First - Willingness to only put out the highest quality food hand sliced lox and steam table carving board
- Perfectly executed cooked to order breakfast items
- Great Communication- Will need to read orders, understand instruction and talk to their fellow cooks to make sure the food is delivered hot and delicious.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Need to be able to stand on your feet for long periods and lift heavy objects from storage.
- Product knowledge - willingness to learn all the companies products and be a educator to our customers and new staff.
- Need to be able to work as a team to create a great dining experience for customers.
Experience/Physical Requirements:
- Minimum of two years food establishment management experience, preferably within a quick service restaurant
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred, minimum of high school diploma or equivalent; a hospitality management of culinary degree or certification is a plus
- Experience with computerized point-of-sale systems, office computers and programs including Word and Excel, email and internet; knowledge of Toast POS System, and Restaurant 365, is beneficial
- Able to continually walk stand, bend, reach, carry, lift, climb, sit, squat, grasp, finger-key, and repetitive motion
- Able to lift and carry 10 pounds consistently and up to 50 pounds often
- Must have the stamina to work a minimum of 50-55 hours a week.
