What are the responsibilities and job description for the BIM Specialist position at Rosendin?
SUMMARY
The BIM Specialist is responsible for working with the BIM Management team to research and leverage data for the goal of improving department operations in areas of productivity, quality and cost.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Monitor status and track performance on active BIM projects in conjunction with BIM Managers, coordinators and modeling leads.
2. Gather detailed information for weekly and monthly reports.
3. Analyze historical data to identify trends.
4. Participate in budget reviews and project forecasts for cost at completion.
5. Work with BIM QAQC team to summarize issues found in constructability and annotation.
6. Support BIM estimating on researching productivity rates.
7. Coordinate with analytics team to develop dashboards and other tools for BIM Managers to make sure their teams are progressing towards set goals.
8. Perform progress check-ins and follow-up on an ongoing basis.
9. Develop or revise BIM operating processes as needed to eliminate bottlenecks and create better channels for team communication.
10. Provide training to BIM teams when adding or modifying processes and tools.
11. Test upgrades to existing oracle modules and new software systems being developed.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
* Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field
* 5 to 7 years of experience in a construction role, electrical preferred
* Can be a combination of education, training and relevant experience
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
* Adept at problem solving and assessing the operational needs of a group
* Understanding of preconstruction processes and BIM software for reviewing 3D models
* Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, etc.)
* Oracle preferred, Power BI or advanced Excel skills (macros, power query) a plus
* Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, changing priorities as necessary
* Ability to work under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude
* Effective oral and written communication skills as required for the position
* Ability to be self-motivated and an effective team player
* Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, both management and staff alike, vendors, clients, etc.

* 0 to 10%
WORKING CONDITIONS:
* General work environment - sitting for long periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending. Work is conducted primarily indoors with varying environmental conditions such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning
* Noise level is usually low to medium
* Occasional lifting of up to 40 lbs.
