What are the responsibilities and job description for the Territory Sales Manager - Upper Midwest US position at Roth Industries?
Position Summary:
Will be responsible for overseeing all sales and account activities related to HVAC products such as oil storage tanks, and radiant throughout the Upper Midwest US and parts of Canada. This position is responsible for establishing a relationship with and working closely with Technical Sales Engineers and other sales support personnel. Will develop strategies, processes, and plans to enable/accomplish growth goals and objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and execute sales initiatives and strategies for the assigned territory
· Implement sales and marketing plans for new and existing customers in order to meet/exceed annual budget
· Harvest and maintain long-term relationships with key account decision makers
· Deliver professional sales presentations and product trainings, to customers, potential customers, and key influencers such as wholesale distributors, contractors, engineers, architects, plant managers, regulatory and code officials
· Research and successfully obtain Roth specifications on residential/light commercial projects
· Maintain schedule of customer/potential customer visits and calls and report on a daily to weekly basis to Roth management
· Troubleshoot product issues and when needed, visit homeowner sites to address and assess issues
· Direct manufacturer sales representatives within territory in order to identify potential new business opportunities while managing current customer relationships
· Participate and staff industry tradeshows and customer events throughout territory
· Review sales reports and budget requirement with manufacturing sales reps quarterly
Education and Experience:
· Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent is required.
· Strong computer skills required, to include Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
· Exceptional communication skills required.
· Must have proven and successful leadership capabilities.
· Must be familiar with customer service and sales techniques.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
· Requires up to 75% travel throughout the territory
- Valid Driver’s License
- Ability to set up and staff booth at tradeshows
- 15 years’ experience in the HVAC industry. Oil heat experience a plus.
- Excellent written, oral communication and presentation skills.
Qualified candidate will ideally be located central to the territory and operate out of a home office
