Responsibility & goals : Accountable for daily maintenance of Roto facility and processes. The General Maintenance worker will perform general maintenance and repairs for assigned equipment and facilities including plumbing, electrical, basic carpentry, heating and cooling, and other building systems.
Key skills for this role:
- Inspects and identifies equipment or machines in need of repair.
- Advanced troubleshooting issues to determine necessary repairs.
- Plans repair work using buildings blueprints or equipment manual as needed.
- Performs general non-structural repairs: Installing electrical plugs, basic plumbing,
- Orders supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance, driving errands.
- Repair and maintain punch and forming tools.
- Fabricate and repair tooling fixtures.
- Assist with design for new tooling fixtures.
- Uses precision measuring and gauging tools, performing required inspections before, during, and after machining.
- Basic milling and lathe work.
- Performing PM on all of the facility equipment.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Other Skills:
- Ability to follow instructions from supervisors or senior maintenance workers.
- Knowledge of general carpentry and repair.
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
- Prolonged periods standing and walking.
- Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- On-the-job training offered.
Required work experience:
- Minimum 2 years related experience preferred.
Position requires a valid Driver's License.
