Position Title: Outside Sales Representative
Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Outside Sales Representative to join our team at Round Rock Welding Supply, a leading provider of compressed gas, welding, and industrial supply solutions in Central Texas. As an Outside Sales Representative, you will be responsible for cultivating and maintaining relationships with existing customers while also actively seeking out and engaging new customers within a designated territory. Your primary goal will be to drive sales growth and exceed revenue targets by promoting our comprehensive range of products and services.
Key Responsibilities:
Prospect, qualify, and acquire new customers through cold calling, networking, and other lead generation activities.
Conduct regular visits to existing clients to understand their needs, identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling, and ensure customer satisfaction.
Develop and execute strategic sales plans to expand market share within the assigned territory.
Collaborate with the branch manager and staff to effectively manage customer accounts, resolve issues, and deliver timely solutions.
Keep abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to capitalize on emerging opportunities and maintain a competitive edge.
Prepare and deliver product demonstrations and proposals to prospective clients, highlighting the features, benefits, and value of our products and services.
Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with customers to secure profitable business agreements while adhering to company policies and procedures.
Participate in trade shows, industry events, and promotional activities to increase brand awareness and generate leads.
Continuously develop product knowledge and sales skills through training programs, workshops, and self-study to enhance performance and effectiveness in the role.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field (preferred).
Proven track record of success in outside sales, with at least 3 years of experience in selling in the industrial field.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and establish long-lasting relationships with customers.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to deliver persuasive sales presentations and proposals.
Self-motivated and goal-oriented with a demonstrated ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Proficiency in using CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other sales tools.
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
Knowledge of welding processes, compressed gases, and industrial equipment is a plus.
