We are searching for an individual who is organized, efficient and reliable. This is an entry level position where you will help the people who shop at our liquor store to find their desired items. You will also use your problem solving skills to help customers, and have the ability to respond to all types of customers, regardless of their mood, with a positive attitude no matter what.
Primary Objective: To provide courteous customer service dealing with sale of liquor and to know and observe the various state and local regulations regarding the sale of liquor. To Stock, rotate and face product, build displays as required for daily sales and to ensure a positive shopping experience for customers. Primary challenge in this position is to provide prompt, courteous customer service, accurate money handling, keeping adequate inventory levels, stock and clean shelves. Position functions and work hours may vary according to business needs. Must be willing to work nights & weekends within a rotating schedule.
Essential Position Functions
- Greet customers
- Assist customers with products; Suggest Products
- Bring customers to location of items, when needed
- Stocks liquor supplies
- General cleaning of shelves and other store areas
- Learns all laws and regulations pertaining to liquor sales and also laws pertaining to Hours of operation
- Be able to work independently
- Other duties as assigned
- Preforms aisle stocking as needed
- Completes assigned tasks in an efficient and timely manner
- Ensures correct placement of stock
- Rotates and faces product as required
Frequent Requirements:
Frequent:
Physical- Lifting up to 25 lbs., Equipment operation (Cash Register), reaching, standing, and turning, squatting stooping/bending, walking.
Mental- judgment/decision making, social skills/verbal interactions, memorizing, reading, writing, math/counting currency.
Equipment Operation: Point of Sale Program, Calculator, squatting stooping/bending, walking.
Responsibilities:
- Accept payment from customers and issue change in an efficient and polite manner.
- Answer customer questions regarding products and services.
- Answer other customer service inquiries.
- Read and interpret company policies and procedures.
- Help customers by finding the product or service they need.
- Work with management to respond to customer complaints.
- Oversee operation of a store or restaurant that is open to the public.
Requirements:
- Must be- 21 years of age.
- Must have a valid drivers license.
- Background checks are required.
- No prior history of substance abused or OUI.
