Job Summary
We are a small used car dealership looking for someone to train in automotive sales that we can promote into management. The Used Car Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing the operations of our dealership. This position is responsible for managing inventory, leading a team of sales associates, and driving sales performance. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of the automotive market, and the ability to communicate effectively with customers and staff alike.
Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the used car department, ensuring optimal inventory levels and presentation.
- Lead and mentor a team of sales associates to achieve sales targets and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive traffic and increase sales volume.
- Conduct cold calling and outbound sales initiatives to generate leads and expand the customer base.
- Utilize upselling techniques to maximize revenue on each sale while ensuring customer needs are met.
- Oversee the sales pipeline from lead generation to closing deals, ensuring a smooth process for customers.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and customer experience.
- Work schedule is Monday through Saturday from 10am to 6pm.
Requirements
- Experience in a dealership environment, preferably in used car management or sales.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written; bilingual abilities are a plus.
- Experience in outside sales with a focus on building relationships and driving results.
- Familiarity with sales support tools and techniques to enhance team performance.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- A passion for automobiles and an understanding of market trends within the automotive industry.
Compensation
- Base salary of $26,000 plus 15% commission on all profit for a starting compensation of $40,000 annually. Expected total compensation of $80,000 after one year.
