As a receiving and inventory associate, you will play a critical role in ensuring accuracy of warehouse shipments and inventory. This job will require an intermediate level of understanding of general construction principles such as framing, wall covering, grinding metal, cutting wood and metal, painting, trim work, caulking, use of general tools, and other tasks.
Job Details:
- Full-time employment (32-40 hours / week) with benefits
- Monday - Thursday 7am to 4pm | 1 hr lunch | Fridays as required | No nights or weekends
- Work area is in a warehouse environment (shaded but not air-conditioned)
- Casual dress code with steel toe shoes/boots required
- Location near FM 529 Rd 77041 and US 290
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Receive packages, unload trucks, complete associated paperwork
- Verify the quantity, condition, and accuracy of inventories received.
- Perform receiving documentation according to company standards.
- Inspect all packages, materials received for damages.
- Follow all standards to document and manage defective/damaged materials.
- Assemble job kits (small groups of items) according to the instruction sheet.
- Organize / maintain materials cage.
- Maintain company tools inventory.
- Will need to make material runs as necessary.
Requirements:
- Applicants must own a truck for material pick ups.
- Must be familiar with construction material terminology.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience using spreadsheets (Excel, Google Sheets, etc.)
- Must have established computer literacy including:
- Understand how to use computers to lookup information
- Able to scan documents and save them into the company file system
- Must be able to read and follow instructions.

- Able to operate a forklift
- Detail oriented person who can do repetitive tasks without losing focus
- Perform tasks that require a high level of accuracy for long periods of time
- Must be able to plan their day around multiple deliveries
- Manage tasks to prioritize deadlines
- Must work with a sense of urgency and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
